Some flavor combinations just make sense. Everything bagel seasoning on popcorn is one of them! This combo is savory, crunchy, and pure perfection — especially when you make the popcorn on the Popper.
Now you can always sprinkle the ready-made kind over your popcorn and call it a day, but if you like taking things one step further like we do, try making the seasoning from scratch. It’s easier than you think, way more satisfying than store-bought, and healthier, too.

Everything Bagel Popcorn Ingredients
-
½ cup kernels
-
2 tablespoons oil
-
2 tablespoons poppy seeds
-
2 tablespoons white sesame seeds
-
1 tablespoon black sesame seeds
-
2 tablespoons dried minced garlic
-
2 tablespoons dried minced onion
-
1 tablespoon flaky sea salt
Everything Bagel Popcorn Directions
Step 1: Make DIY Everything Bagel Seasoning
In a small bowl, mix poppy seeds, white sesame seeds, black sesame seeds, dried minced garlic, dried minced onion, and flaky sea salt until well combined. Set aside for later.
Step 2: Preheat
Set your stove to medium heat and let your Popsmith preheat for 1 to 2 minutes.
Step 3: Pour Oil and Kernels
Pour oil into the Popper and drop 3 kernels. Add the remaining kernels when the first one pops, then cover the pot.
Step 4: Turn
Turn the Popper’s crank clockwise as the kernels pop to prevent burning. You don’t have to do this the entire time. A few cranks every couple of seconds will do the trick.
Step 5: Remove
When popping slows to 1 to 2 seconds between pops, take the Popper off the heat and remove the lid.
Step 6: Combine
Gradually sprinkle the everything bagel seasoning over your popcorn. Then put the lid back on and give it a few more turns or shakes to distribute the flavoring evenly.
Step 7: Serve
Pour the everything bagel popcorn into a huge bowl and enjoy!
