Upgrading your popcorn doesn't take much. Sometimes, all you need is what's already in your pantry: honey, garlic powder, and a squeeze of sriracha. The sriracha adds a kick, the honey balances it, and the garlic deepens it.

Ready to turn up the heat? Then grab your Popper and let’s make sriracha popcorn:

Sriracha Popcorn Ingredients

  • ½ cup popcorn kernels
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons sriracha (or more, depending on how much heat you want!)
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt, to taste

How to Make Sriracha Popcorn

Step 1: Heat

Set your stove to medium heat. Let the Popsmith preheat for 1-2 minutes.

Step 2: Pour Oil

Coat the pot with oil and allow it to sizzle.

Step 3: Add Kernels

Drop 3 kernels into the Popper. When the first one pops, pour in the rest and cover the pot.

Step 4: Pop

Start turning the crank clockwise as the kernels pop to prevent burning.

PRO TIP: If the spinner gets stuck while you crank, some kernels might have gotten stuck behind it. To release them, all you have to do is gently lift the spinner with your finger. Don’t worry, it doesn’t get as hot as the rest of the pot.

Step 5: Remove

Once popping slows to 1-2 seconds between pops, take the Popper off the heat and transfer the popcorn to a large bowl.

Step 6: Make Sriracha Mixture

Melt unsalted butter in a small saucepan over medium heat, then add in the sriracha, honey, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Mix well.

Step 7: Combine

Drizzle the sriracha mixture over the popcorn, then give the bowl a good toss to evenly coat the kernels. Season with salt to taste.

Step 8: Serve
