Oreo Popcorn at a Glance
Love cookies and cream ice cream? This Oreo popcorn recipe is definitely right up your alley! It’s sweet, creamy, a little salty, and crunchy — a combo of flavors and textures that you won’t get enough of. And guess what? You probably already have all the ingredients for it in your cupboard.
Now get your Popper ready and let’s make Oreo popcorn:
Oreo Popcorn Ingredients
- ½ cup popcorn kernels
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- 15 Oreo cookies
- Salt, to taste
How to Make Oreo Popcorn
Step 1: Break Oreos
Chop or break your Oreos into little pieces and set aside.
Step 2: Heat

Set your stove to medium heat and allow the Popper to preheat for 1 to 2 minutes.
Step 3: Add Oil
Pour oil into the Popper.
Step 4: Add Kernels

Drop 2-3 kernels into the pot. Pour in the remaining kernels once the first one pops. Then put the Popper’s lid on.
Step 5: Pop

Turn the crank clockwise while the kernels pop to keep them from staying on one side and burning.
PRO TIP: If the spinner gets stuck mid-pop, simply lift it with your finger to release kernels that got logged behind.
Step 6: Remove
Take the Popper off the heat when popping slows to 1-2 seconds between pops and transfer the popcorn to a large bowl.
Step 7: Melt
Melt white chocolate chips in the microwave in 30-second intervals. Stir after every interval until completely melted.
Step 8: Drizzle
Drizzle the melted chocolate over your popcorn. Use a spatula to help you coat the popcorn evenly.
Step 9: Sprinkle
Grab your chopped Oreos and sprinkle them over the chocolate-coated popcorn.
Step 10: Serve

Wait about 5-10 minutes for the white chocolate to set, add a dash of salt to balance out the sweetness, and enjoy!

-
Make it even more decadent: After tossing the popcorn with white chocolate and Oreos, drizzle dark chocolate on top.
- Storage: Store leftover popcorn in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
Pour, Pop, and Repeat
That’s all you need to know about making Oreo popcorn! Don’t let its simplicity fool you, though. While you only need basic ingredients to prepare it, your taste buds will think it’s the best thing since movie theater popcorn. You might want to pop an extra batch just in case.
