  • ½ cup popcorn kernels

  • ½ cup honey

  • ¼ cup salted butter

  • ½ teaspoon salt

Honey Popcorn Directions

Step 1: Preheat Oven

Step 2: Preheat the Popsmith

Set your stove to medium heat and allow your Popper to preheat for 1 to 2 minutes.

Step 3: Pour Oil and Kernels

Pour oil into the Popper and drop 3 kernels. When the first kernel pops, add the rest and cover the popcorn maker.

Step 4: Pop

Turn the Popper’s crank clockwise as the kernels pop to prevent burning. No need to crank the entire time — every few seconds will do.

Step 5: Remove

Take the Popsmith off the heat when popping slows to 1 to 2 seconds between pops. Then remove the lid.

Step 6: Make Honey Popcorn Sauce

In a small saucepan, combine honey and butter and cook on low. Stir and simmer for about 1 minute.

Step 7: Combine Honey and Popcorn

Pour the honey butter mixture over the popcorn, then cover the Popper and give it a few more cranks or shakes.

Step 8: Spread

Spread the popcorn onto the sheet pan and sprinkle the salt.

Step 9: Bake

Place the sheet pan in the oven and bake for 45 minutes or until the honey popcorn is firm and has achieved a caramel-like color. Stir every 15 minutes to ensure an even cook.

Step 10: Serve
