Ranch Popcorn Ingredients
- ½ cup kernels
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 tablespoon dried buttermilk powder
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- ¼ cup finely grated parmesan cheese
- ½ teaspoon dried chives
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon onion powder
- ¼ teaspoon dried dill
- ⅛ teaspoon black pepper
Ranch Popcorn Directions
Step 1: Make Ranch Popcorn Seasoning
Mix buttermilk powder, dried parsley, parmesan cheese, chives, garlic powder, onion powder, dried dill, and black pepper in a small bowl to make your ranch seasoning for popcorn. Set aside.
Step 2: Heat
Set your stove to medium heat and allow the Popper to preheat for 1 to 2 minutes.
Step 3: Pour Oil
Pour oil into the Popper.
Step 4: Add Kernels
Toss 2-3 kernels into the pot. When the first one pops, add in the rest then cover the Popper.
Step 5: Turn and Pop
Turn the Popper’s crank clockwise as the kernels pop to prevent them from sticking to one place. You don’t need to do this the entire time — just give it a few turns and the Popper will work its magic.
Step 6: Remove
Take the Popper off the heat when popping slows and remove the lid.
Step 7: Season
Gradually sprinkle the ranch popcorn seasoning over the popcorn, then cover the Popper. Turn the crank a couple more times or simply shake the pot to distribute the seasoning.
Step 8: Serve
Pour your ranch popcorn into a big bowl, wait a few minutes for steam to escape, and enjoy!
More Ranch Popcorn Tips
- If you want to make this recipe even quicker, you can use store-bought ranch seasoning mix instead. We don’t recommend ranch dressing because it’ll turn your popcorn soggy and won’t keep well.
- You shouldn’t have any trouble getting the ranch popcorn seasoning to stick, but if that isn’t the case, spraying a light layer of oil or melted butter over the popcorn should help.
- If you have any leftover popcorn, store it in an airtight container and eat within a week. We bet you’ll gobble everything down before then, though!
A Perfect Combination
Savory ranch and crunchy popcorn make for an addicting combo. Serve this popcorn during get-togethers, and we’re sure it’ll be one of the first items to disappear!
