Cinnamon Popcorn Recipe Ingredients

How to Make Cinnamon Popcorn

Step 1: Combine

Cut the sugar ‘n salt mix portion of the Classic Kettle Popcorn packet, pour it into a small bowl, and add the ground cinnamon. Mix until well combined, then set it aside for later.

Step 2: Heat

Set your stovetop to medium heat and allow the Popper to preheat for 1 to 2 minutes.

Step 3: Add Oil

Cut the oil portion of the packet, squeeze it into your Popper, and wait for it to melt completely.

Step 4: Add Kernels

After the coconut oil has melted, cut the popping corn portion of the packet and pour all the kernels into the pot.

Step 5: Turn

Cover the Popper with the lid and keep turning the crank.

Step 6: Remove

When popping slows, take the Popper off the heat and remove the lid so that steam can escape.

Step 7: Melt Ghee

Add ghee to a small saucepan and let it melt. Then drizzle it over the popcorn, making sure it’s evenly distributed.

DID YOU KNOW? Ghee is clarified butter — it doesn’t have water or milk solids. It won’t leave your popcorn soggy like regular butter, so if you want to get seasoning to stick, it’s the better choice.

Step 8: Sprinkle Cinnamon Sugar-Salt Mix

Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar-salt mixture over the popcorn. Give the Popper a few cranks or shakes to let the seasoning coat every kernel.

Step 9: Enjoy

More Cinnamon Sugar Popcorn Tips

  • If you want a more cinnamon-y flavor (or prefer it less intense), start with a smaller amount of ground cinnamon and work your way from there.
  • You can also be really thorough and use a spatula to toss the ghee and cinnamon sugar-salt mix together with the popcorn.
  • Don’t have ghee at home? Spraying your popcorn with a light layer of oil is a good alternative.

Cinnamon might be considered a fall spice, but you don’t have to wait till then to enjoy this popcorn! It’s awesome for any occasion, whether you’re cuddling up with a movie or entertaining guests. So what are you waiting for? Grab your Popper and get poppin’!
